Templates

At a glance

  • Plan: All plans
  • Best for: Workspace owners
  • Where to find it: New -> From template, Account menu -> Templates, Prompt -> More -> Save as Template

Key points

  • PrompX includes built-in templates plus a personal template area for your own reusable patterns.
  • Template fields stay editable after selection, so you can adapt them before publishing.

What this feature does

Templates let you start from a structured prompt instead of a blank editor. They can come from PrompX system templates or from templates you save yourself.

Why it is useful

Templates speed up recurring work and reduce inconsistent formatting. They are especially useful when you want several prompts to follow the same structure or variable pattern.

How to use it

  1. Open Templates from the account menu, or choose From template from the New menu.
  2. Browse the available categories and pick the template that fits the task.
  3. Review the prompt, title, tags, and category in the editor.
  4. Adjust any text or variables you need, then publish the prompt.
  5. When you create a prompt structure you want to reuse later, open the prompt and choose Save as Template from the More menu.

Tips

  • Use templates for workflows that should feel consistent across people or projects.
  • Save templates after the workflow is stable, not while it is still changing every day.
  • A strong template usually includes clear variables and a sample output that shows the expected format.

Common use cases

  • Starting every release note prompt from the same structure.
  • Giving a team a reliable starting point for recurring customer communications.
  • Saving your best internal prompt pattern so you can spin up variations faster.
